A good spin would be a cartoon series. 1 episode per mission with adjoining primary quest. All done animated. Or a 3 part Animated movie... It has to be animated though. Animated movies based on games are usually quite well developed and suceed. FF Spirits Within is a great example of a successful video game based animated movie. Just a thought.... Animated movie, or Season with all missions. It has to follow the story of Mhenlo, Cynn, Devona, and the Ranger who's name evades me, and one main Protagonist of the film producers choosing.

Well, actually movies baed on survival horror games were quite cool if you are not rabid fan of those games.

So were fighter game movies, if only because they were unintentionally hilarious which made them even more hilarious.

I thought that movie was pretty good

And year, FF: AC was a good movie too (from someone who's never played FF)

Aidan.

I'm just curious, when you say animated, do you mean computer animated or traditionally animated?

Fixed it for ya

Actually, silent hill was pretty good for a movie adapted from a videogame. And why not? Even Dragon Ball will have a movie( real characters) soon.

ok first of all i post a bit to be involved. Just because most people have a bad attitude doesnt mean i cant talk about an idea. For operative 14, the animated idea would be like spirits within or advent children and computer animated. Another thing anyone who just plays like one game or owns like a 300-500 gameing consol to play stupid games like sports which can be played out side, or isnt a true game like some think they are, ave no open minds and need to not participate in a what i was trying to make, a nice general forum about an interesting idea i had. I mean seriously some people need to get a life.
For every one who hated the first tomb raider movie, it grossed 131,000,000 millions dollars alright, and i personally thought it was awesome.

another thing, alot of people sure bash things and still take part in them. why are all you guys even playing the game when you have so many complaints about it anyways. I was a mesmer/monk for guild wars and factions and i freaking loved it and only took a break for school.

There is really good technology out now and making a guildwars movie even a REAL one not animated could take place in a lot of the exotic places newer movies such as harry potter and lord of the rings movies have been taking place.

Keep Uwe Boll away from it and the geniuses who decided that it's impossible to write about the Horde and easier to write about the weak, fragile human race who are so pretty and perfectly innocent.

Come on, World of Warcraft movie! Looking forward to seeing how butchered you will be!

The first problem with a Guild Wars movie would be the title. Non-GW players would go into it thinking there would be Guilds, and they'd be at war with each other. However, in-game, the only Guild Wars that exist are those of a small tidbit of history, and some PvP, but I think the last PvP-based video game movie of any import was Tron.

So basically you're asking for a fanservice, to have a movie made where the target audience would basically be "people who have played Guild Wars", and that's not enough to sell an executive on signing the checks.

But as long as we're dreaming, I say Alec Baldwin as Mallyx.

You may be on to something there. How about the movie is about the actual guild wars and the city of Orr?

theres alot of stuff that comes out that peoploe dont know about, and if the movie looked good enough in a trailor or something then people would sse it anyways, i mean millions of people didnt know what mortal kombat was and alot still dont but alot of people saw the move cause of fighting a martial arts. so like a guild wars movie done the right way would look good and appeal to basically anyone who liked action, adventure, fantasy, magic, lore, and anything along those lines

There was a super mario bros movie? Wth was it about, mario running around the streets looking for coins and mushrooms? Tomb Raider wasn't that bad IMO but DOOM was terrible and I love that game. A GW movie wouldn't work out unless a really good GW related plot line turned into a novel with a new name which then goes into a movie.

As a side note, I'd see a GW movie if ANet themselves made it.

Otherwise, meh.

I still can't believe they are gonna make a Dragonball movie...

Piccolo = Vin Diesel, Jason Stathom
Goku = Jackie Chan
Vegeta = Jet Li
Krillin = Danny DeVito or Verne(MiniMe)

??????????
